Congratulations to my favourite celebrity couple in welcoming their little bundle of joy, Blue Ivy Carter, to the world! At first when I had tweeted, I had thought her name was Ivy Blue but with more clarification through various media outlets, I stand corrected. In true Diva form, I had heard that the entire floor to which B had little Blue was bought by the couple to preserve privacy. I guess the $1.5+ million dollar price tag was worth it? I could make a reference to The Illuminati buuut I’ll just leave that alone..

Regardless, this track is the perfect mix of beat and vocal; I’m SO thankful that Kanye didn’t have his two cents in on it. The ‘crying’ took me back to Aaliyah’s ‘Are You That Somebody’ which beyond being completely nostalgic (what’s up, grade six?!), was a beautiful homage to the birth.
